Considerations for Buyers
- Look at artist reviews
Check for connected social networks and be sure to read any reviews left by other Artfinder users. If you'd like to learn more, you can always get in touch with the seller via the Artfinder Messaging System via the 'Contact artist' button on their Shop.
- Read listing descriptions closely
It's a good idea to read everything that a seller has posted about their artwork listing in the description, the dimensions, media and techniques used before making a purchase so that there are no surprises. If you have any doubts, you can of course contact them via the Artfinder Messaging System.
- Pay and communicate on Artfinder
Paying or communicating outside Artfinder makes it harder for us to protect your information and puts you at greater risk of fraud and other security issues. That's why we prohibit paying for a purchase outside our website and strongly encourage you to communicate using our messaging system.
Use our messaging system before a making a purchase to confirm any details about the artwork. After purchasing, use it to discuss dispatch details and any delivery issues that may arise.
- Communicate with the seller
After learning more about the seller, start a conversation with them about the artwork that you wish to purchase to find out more. Sellers are usually happy to answer any questions that you may have regarding their artwork and are best placed to advise on more precise details regarding shipment and delivery.
