Artfinder’s Policy for Safeguarding Minors

At Artfinder, our paramount commitment is to ensure the safety and well-being of our community, particularly minors. We have implemented a set of guidelines and measures dedicated to the protection of children and adolescents within our artistic marketplace. Please continue reading to acquaint yourself with Artfinder's efforts to safeguard minors from potential harm or exploitation, as well as our expectations for the portrayal of minors in visual and written content throughout our platform.

In alignment with our Prohibited Items Policy, Buyer Policy, and Seller Terms & Conditions and Artistic Quality Guidelines, we strictly prohibit the sexualisation of minors. Additionally, we take steps to reduce the risk of well-intentioned content being misused or misconstrued as age-inappropriate. To this end, we offer guidelines concerning poses and photographic angles that should be avoided when sharing content on Artfinder.

These policies are universally applicable to all facets of the Artfinder platform where images may be posted, which includes listing photos, messages, review photos, digital download files, shop banners, and all artistic mediums, such as photography, AI-generated art or images, illustration, animation, sculptures, and figurines. We take action against any violations of this policy whenever the subject is identified as a minor or appears to be a minor.

Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

Artfinder assumes responsibility in reporting abuse involving children. In the event we detect or are alerted to sexually explicit content featuring minors, we will promptly report all pertinent information to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). To report an item or shop, please email support@artfinder.com

Nudity, Partial Nudity, and Revealing Clothing

Artfinder strictly prohibits the presentation of minors in a state of nudity, partial nudity, or in undergarments. This includes any depictions in which private body parts or undergarments can be seen through sheer or revealing clothing. There should be no manipulation of clothing to reveal a minor's private areas intentionally.

Exceptions to this rule include images of shirtless male minors and images of children under toddler age who are partially nude or in undergarments/nappies. Furthermore, depictions of nude minors may be allowed in specific educational, historical, or classical art contexts.

Sexually Suggestive Activity

Artfinder prohibits the portrayal of minors engaged in activities that could be construed as sexually suggestive, even if they are fully clothed. This encompasses depictions of minors simulating sexual acts, disrobing, or engaging in any activity that touches on private areas.

Posing

We acknowledge that the concept of posing is subjective and open to interpretation. What one person views as innocent may be considered age-inappropriate by another. To mitigate the risk of content being misused or misunderstood, images featuring minors in form-fitting or athletic attire, such as leotards, bathing suits, or leggings, are subject to additional regulations.

When featuring minors in imagery, we advise adopting neutral poses, with the minor facing forward, arms and legs extended, and the camera zoomed out to capture the entire head and body. The following are not permitted for minors in form-fitting clothing:

  • Photos that are staged in a bath, shower, or on a bed.
  • Photos that are closely cropped on private areas.
  • Minors posed with their legs spread, so that their knees are positioned wider than shoulder width.
  • Minors posed with their chest, buttocks, or groin area pushed forward by bending forward, backward, or otherwise contorting their body.
  • Young minors (pubescent and pre-pubescent) are subject to stricter guidelines. Specifically, we do not allow photos of young minors photographed from overhead or below chest height, moving a garment up or aside, looking over their shoulder from behind, and so on.

Artfinder monitors and removes any content that violates our policies. However, we firmly believe that the responsibility for child safety is shared by all members of our community. If you encounter any violations of the policy described above, please promptly notify Artfinder by emailing support@artfinder.com
