Can I pay with Klarna?

Yes! Artfinder has teamed up with Klarna, so you can snap up the artwork you love now and pay it off later in easy, small, manageable instalments.

What is Klarna?

Klarna is like your shopping sidekick that says, “Go on, treat yourself, pay later!” It’s a super popular Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) fintech that lets you shop now and stay flexible with how you pay. Split your purchase into bite-sized, interest-free instalments, settle up within 30 days, or stretch out bigger buys over time. Plus, it teams up with thousands of retailers to make checkout quick, smooth, and worry-free, including Artfinder!

How do I use Klarna when purchasing artwork?

Simply follow the steps when purchasing as follows:

  1. Browse our website, and find the artwork you love!
  2. Add the artwork to your basket once you're ready to pay
  3. Press 'Checkout' on the far right-hand side
  4. Once you've added your shipping and billing address, click 'Proceed to checkout'

If you're able to pay with Klarna, according to your shipping address and billing address, you will see Klarna as an option to pay on your payment options, as shown below:

Once you click the Klarna tickbox, if avalaible, it will then show you how your artwork price will be split into 3 payments.

Alternatively, if you click 'Learn more,' there may be additional options for your purchase.

Do I have to have a Klarna account to pay by Klarna?

Yes, you generally need to have a Klarna account or create one during the checkout process to use their services. While you can initiate a purchase at a partner store, Klarna will prompt you to set up an account or log in to manage repayments, view schedules, and secure your payment methods.

  • Account Requirement: If you do not have an account, you will be asked to set one up during the checkout process to process your order.
  • App Benefits: Although not always required to make a purchase, downloading the Klarna app is highly recommended to monitor payment schedules, make early payments, and manage orders.
  • Alternative Options: You may pay in full, in 30 days, or in 3 instalments, but all require linking a payment method (card or bank) to a Klarna account

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the country where the retailer offers Klarna.

What are the restrictions?

Klarna isn’t available in all countries, and approval also depends on factors like your order value and past history. If you’re based in one of the countries listed below, you won’t be able to set up a Klarna account, so this payment option unfortunately won't be available for purchasing artwork.

  • Africa: Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Libya, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Zimbabwe.
  • Asia/Middle East: Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Myanmar, North Korea, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria, Yemen.
  • Europe/Eurasia: Belarus, Russia, Ukraine (specifically occupied territories: Crimea, Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia).
  • Americas: Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Venezuela.

However, if you face any issues at the point of checkout and need help clarifying if you're eligible, please do let us know.

You can also read more about this on Klarna's direct website here.

How do I check my payments and schedule?

Sign in to your Klarna account on the Klarna app or via Klarna's website to check your payment schedule, and contact Klarna’s Customer Service team with further questions.

You can also review your email inbox for a message from Klarna with your payment schedule. If it’s not there, check your spam folder or deleted items.

Please note that Klarna may charge a late fee if a payment isn’t made by the specified due date.

How do I get refunded if I cancel or return my artwork?

Artfinder can still process refunds and cancellation as per our current policies. If we issue you a refund, Klarna will receive that information and issue you the correct portion of the refund.

If we have refunded you, but you've not recieved the refund, please contact Klarnas Customer Service team.
