Our new 'View In Room' feature
Step-by-step: How to use Artfinder’s “View In Room” feature
Artfinder’s new “View In Room” feature helps customers visualise artwork in a realistic setting before purchasing. Displaying pieces to scale in your room makes it much easier to judge size, proportion, and overall impact in a space. This reduces uncertainty and the risk of choosing something that feels too small or overwhelming once it arrives. It also builds confidence in buying art online, making the experience more intuitive, engaging, and closer to viewing art in your own space.
Please kindly note the requirements below to be able to enable this feature on your device.
- iOS Devices: iPhone or iPad must support ARKit, which generally includes devices from 2018 onwards (iPhone 8 or newer, running a recent iOS version).
- Android Devices: Must support ARCore (certified devices). This usually includes mid-range to flagship phones from 2019 or newer, equipped with a gyroscope and sufficient processing power.
- Browser: The AR experience is designed to run directly in the mobile browser, either Safari or Chrome.
How to use this feature on your device:
If you’re using a laptop, please follow steps 1–9.
If you’re on a mobile device, complete steps 1–4, skip step 5 since there’s no need to scan a QR code as you're on the device you're going to use the feature on already, and then proceed to step 7.
- Go to our website www.artfinder.com
- Browse or search for an artwork you like
- Click on the artwork to open its product/detail page

- At the bottom of the artwork image, you will see ‘View in Room’.

- Once you click this icon, a pop-up will appear, and it will show you a QR Code you can scan with your camera on your mobile device.

- Once you’ve scanned this QR code on your mobile device, it will then show you an image of the artwork and a button ‘View in AR’.

- Once you press that red button, you will get another pop-up as follows:

- Lastly, it will take you to the AR feature. You can view the artwork in your room and on your walls. You will have to move your phone around the room, as advised in the instructions that the AR feature will guide you through and as seen in the image below, this will allow the feature to be as realistic as possible in the room you're trying to view the artwork in.

- You will then be able to navigate to the wall you wish to put the artwork on to see if it's something that will be suitable for that space!

Exit the viewer
- Click the “X” or back button
- You’ll return to the artwork page
Continue browsing or purchase
From there, you can:
